    politics

I've got to thank some of you guys in this forum for helping me learn about politics and the... direction our country is heading. Im 21 and have never voted because I felt I didnt know enough. Since this forum has opened, I have learned so much about our rights, our politicians, and our laws. I have read most of these arguments and have become more aware of the true basis. This forum is very diverse and has many POV's. I never would have thought I could learn so much about politics from a BMW forum.

    Thank you!

Yeah, I will second this, coming from a family that was never too into politics and never really talked about them it has opened my eyes too.

But lately it has just made me want to move out towards Farbin Kaiber, buy some acreage out in the middle of nowhere, build a house halfway in the ground, and live in seclusion. It just doesn't seem we are going in a good direction righ now, and I don't know it will get any better any time soon.

This right here is the Poster Thread of why P&R here at r3v is, was, and, will be a good thing to have around. I'm very thankful that people have taken the time to go out on their own and learn a thing or two from the ranting that goes on. Just reading that someone was inspired by it to educate themselves makes it all worth it.

The most important thing I have learned, is the importance of politics; the importance of voting. I have also learned that some people don't seem to read the original post. :D

Ha, "the politicians are now DJ's."

I think we could stop the "infection across the nation." I like how the tea party makes it a point that Washington is not listening to the people.

You're joking, right? This place has some of the most idiotic political discourse I've ever encountered.

+1, it'd be a very sad thing to develop a world view based on this forum.

Yes but if it creates thought, motivation to do research, and make own conclusion, then its a win.

During the discussion in another thread about lobbyists(right winged rhetoric?), I learned a lot about how that works. There is over 17,000 federal lobbyists. Didnt know that until yesterday when I read the thread and took it to wikipedia.

And most importantly it shows you different perspectives and points on a subject you'd never get by watching FOX or CNN. That's the beauty of internet forum debates.
