Do I need to show you what happened right after the Arizona shooting? The media immediately blamed Palin and the Republicans for the shooting. Straight and direct. No question about it.

That's a fact. It's also a fact that the Arizona shooter wasn't influenced by any of that, but can you see how easy it would be to blame the Repubs in the absence of any facts based on conjecture alone i.e. what could make sense?

You do realize that free speech is a guaranteed right for people of BOTH political persuasions, yes? Even if you don't agree with it (i.e. Limbaugh hating everyone or Olberman hating Republicans), it's still free protected speech. Even plays with satirical humorous lyrics.

The name doesn't matter as it's plainly obvious for those of us able to see that the R and the D is what both sides were targeting with their bulls eye and cross hairs respectively.

I don't defend people who say stupid shit, especially politicians, and if the person in Montana had actually said Palin should be beheaded, I would certainly have a problem with such language, and would strenuously object.

I don't like hearing politicians advocate offing one another, but I am capable of discerning the difference between an offhand comment made by an actor in an opera, and an entire campaign built around gun imagery complete with gun sights on specific opponents.
