"In another display of the Tea Party movement turning on its own ideological supporters...."
Bias in the first line. Not worth reading...
I'm happy to have Bohner over Pelosi, any day of the week.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
"I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents. Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the [federal] government." ~ James Madison
"If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen" Barack Obama -
So, you read nothing you don't think will be worth reading if you don't like the first line?
There's no disputing the fact that he's pissed off many of his Tea Party supporters because he IS Mr. Business-as-Usual. Did they really think he'd cut loose all his tight, tight business buddies?
He's just another flavor of shit. Doesn't make him better, especially when the only thing he's any good at is self-preservation. He does this by taking very special care of his lobbies, while ignoring his actual constituents.
Boehner has “consistently prioritized the interests of lobbyists over the public, and even interrupted House proceedings so Republican lawmakers could attend his annual ‘Boehner Beach Party’ fundraiser with corporate lobbyists.”
Don't forget, Boehner voted YES for the Bush Wall Street bailouts. And even though he's anti-earmark, he's consistently been pushing for funding for a GE jet engine even the military says they don't need. Why? Because GE has a factory in his district.Comment

^ agreed on both counts. He's no different than any other career politician, no matter how badly the Tea Party wanted him to be otherwise. Republicans now aren't any different than Republicans of 8 years ago under Bush. To expect them to behave differently is naive at best.Comment

I didn't say I liked the guy. I don't. And I agree with you for the most part, but I like the guy way more than Pelosi. Yet I still dislike him. I disagreed with Pelosi on nearly everything. Bohner is just the typical career politician. They are both horrible in their own right.
Right now I support any politician trying to slash the budget, Democrat or not. But even the republicans are half assing the cuts.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
