Hang on, you're saying that 70% of next years budget is to funded from borrowings, and that only 30% is covered by tax and other income?

Surely not?, and if so, what the fuck have you been playing at?

E: pie graph from other thread reckons 43%???

sorry wrong statt, had it confused with something else I was posting somewhere else.

about 42% is deficit spending this year so about 42 cents of every dollar spent this year is barrowed on top of even higher shit to come. Look at that debt clock link its fucking staggering

We are in a heep of shit over here and so many just dont get it, our federal debt alone is just shy of 100% of GDP for the nation. This does not even include our future projections for interest liabilities or entitlement liabilities, which are estimated to be over 200 trillion by 2050

All you gov't workers that bathe in pay and benefits in gross disproportion to your workload, all you blue collar workers that show up to work a little bit late and leave a little bit early while doing little in between, all you health care workers that go into the medical field to gouge insurance companies for all they're worth rather than because you actually care about your patients' well being, all you insurance salesmen that conveniently collect money from friends and associates while producing nothing, all you hippies and whores that collect gov't assistance with no intention to better your situation, all you corporate execs who slash jobs and shut down factories to bolster quarterly numbers so that you can justify huge bonuses, it's all your fault.

Right or left, everybody's fucked imo. Our situation is everybody's fault.

This chart places your public debt at 58.9%???https://www.cia.gov/library/publicat...=na&rank=36#us

Or are we talking different terms? I did read elsewhere that total public and private debt was approaching 100%.

I am talking about NATIONAL DEBT

Our TOTAL debt is over 14T and we are going to barrow another 2.x Trillion this year

That was the point of my original post for this thread that even if govt TAKES all the wealth and profits from every person and corporation that makes more than 250k (you know the rich) in this country, it wont even be enough fun our govt for this year. We all would still have pony up an extra 40 bucks to make it the last few days.

Then what do we do after that there would be no rich to take it from anymore, and the economy would be totally destroyed

                  ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yeah but our kids will likely not be as well off as we are right now. The reason the USA is considered to be the richest in the world is that the vast amount of the wealth is dispersed into the middle class.

The issues for a total different thread are the amount of wealth thats is being sucked outta the middle class not by the evil rich and big corporations but by carefully calculated moves buy the federal govt and those in the private sector that are in bed with it, that date back a 100 years

Then you have something step into fill the void and you end up with Fascist state or a commie state. neither of which are good and fly in the face of all this country stands for.

We need the markets to be free, and get the govt outta them.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." Thomas Jefferson

and a graphic to illustrate out recent historic budget cuts that were fought tooth and nail by the left and called so dire and cruel. In the 8 days it took them to fight over it the govt borrowed 50b , all to cut 38. And it all boils down to not a right or left thing but a whole country and system thing no matter which side of the isle you fall on. This is all of our problem, and the piper is going to come a calling soon.

My family went from being extremely poor and were homeless at a point, living with my grandparents, to my mother building a business from the ground up with her brother and now she's worth millions. It's what the rich do with their money, or how they treat others. It can go to your head, as it has with my mom at times. There are other times where she is overly generous though, and helped out many people who desperately needed financial help and never got a cent back.

It all comes down to the person who has money, what they do with it, and who they are as people, or what they do for society.

My mom's company is U.S. Prisoner Transport Extraditions, which moves serial killers, rapists, child molesters, etc, to different jails or moves them to where they are wanted or where they have warrants. I would say the business is beneficial to society, and doesn't really "screw the poor or middle class" over with anything.

But if you are referring to people like Paris Hilton and that sort of thing, I completely agree. They haven't done much positive for society, and are only famous for their family's money.
I apologize, that bold sentence was poorly worded. I meant that the rich don't deserve any hassle for the money they have.
