Because no news is leaving the country. Security forces have been firing at civilians leaving their houses, snipers are stationed on rooftops, armored vehicles roll through the streets. Check Al-Jazeera, i've been getting all my news from them recently. I'm sure we'd be hearing much more about it though if Syria were part of OPEC.1987 325is Black/Black

I think one of the biggest reasons is the ongoing fighting in Libya taking most of the spotlight, and the fact that Syria has very tight rules on journalists and what is allowed to be disseminated outside the country. It's both a lack of info and a lack of coverage. That being said, it's no less important than any other country. I've heard Obama has been working with their president to organize a peaceful step-down from power, but unlike other revolutions in the area the military and police seem to be firmly on the side of the ruling party; no defections makes it much harder for protests to be successful.Comment

The fact is, Lybia is an easy target for the piece of shit called "president"...Gaddafi is a loaner, and no one's backing him up.
Syria on the other hand, if Barak bin Obama goes out for them, then they're messing with the whole block, Iran, the Hezbollah fuckers, etc....
