Although the FBI formally indicted and charged bin Laden for the 1998 US Embassies bombing, he was never charged for 9/11 due to a lack of evidence. Nor has the supposed "confession tape" been allowed to be independently investigated for legitimacy. He did, however make a handy scapegoat. Deception and misdirection are the stock in trade at the CIA.

I, personally, do not believe he was at the center of the plot. I believe that answer lies a lot closer to home. And that is far scarier. Does the "Reichstag Fire" mean anything to you?

I have my opinions, you have yours. I had family in NY during the time of the attack, my cousin was an economist from San Francisco who was killed in the towers visiting on business. Can you imagine being fresh out of college, landing a job at a fortune 500 company, excited to travel on business, and have that happen? Can you image being in my aunt's shoes watching the news, knowing your son was inside the building? All his efforts, ambition, and accomplishments destroyed and/or ended for what? Call it vengeance, revenge, justification, vindication, what ever you want. I'm happy with the outcome, and empathize with the other families effected by the hand of Bin Laden.

So long as you're satisfied with yourself I suppose that's all that matters. As far as I'm concerned you have nothing with which to back your argument but feelings. However, don't try to criminalize me. I share all of the same negative feelings that you do. I just don't find any joy in the outcome.

I'm happy to see lots of people openly celebrating his death. Its been a long time since the troops had a honest to god we are the good guys killing bad guys victory that got people on the streets to cheer. Lately the only time people get on the streets are in protest of a military action. Its a huge moral booster for our military who need all the motivation they can to complete their missions in the middle east.
