    Herman Cain in 2012

He made his official announcement today.

I like him and think he's a straight shooter. If his 2008 opinion on TARP is the only thing they can really drill him on then I think he will do well. Definitely think he would kill in debates.

Not as straight as I'd like, but over Obama, I'd vote for the guy no question.
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Herman Cain is an idiot, yet another manchurian candidate.

Can we get someone that will actually stick to their guns in office please? Thanks.

His views on the fed are enough to make me stear as clear as possible.

He doesn't even have a foreign policy to stand on, saying he would "talk with experts and generals and come up with a plan".

Please elaborate. You made comments with no real substance to back them up. Looking for some real constructive insight and debate on him as a candidate not half ass snide remarks.

I don't think one question answered regarding the war in Afghanistan hardly sums up his whole foreign policy. Even still, his answer was straight forward and honest unlike most of the generic BS that most these establishment GOP candidates spout out.

You try to make it sound like gathering information and talking to experts is such a horrible plan for making decisions. Sounds more like common sense to me.

If you want to argue for or against him at least site some references and better explain your position (critical or not).

Just have to add that from what I've seen, I'm very impressed by Herman Cain. And I hope he uses some of his successful business sense to steer this country.

              Who cares?

Even if a good candidate came along, it's not like anything is going to change. The President is just a figure head with little actual power. The people in Congress are the ones with the real power and they are only concerned with getting reelected so that they can continue to funnel tax payer dollars to their corporate cronies. Things are going great for them so why would they give a shit about the sad state of our country.

                Big problem with America.

On one hand we say, "Get out those cronies who aren't doing the right thing.

Then a new guy comes along, "Well he doesn't have the experience to get the job done."

Agreed, Obama's experience level was very low and he's doing a so so job of getting it done. Not in the direction I would like one bit but, it's getting done. He's definitely got grey hair now.

                    As Ross Perot would say

PEROT: "No, no, no, but I could say, you know, that I ran a small grocery store on the corner, therefore I extrapolate that into the fact that I can run Wal-Mart. That's not true."

I understand your point (or Perot's), however, Herman Cain did more than just run a grocery store. His accomplishments in the business world are impressive if you do some reading on the topic. And although the scale would increase dramatically and so would the complication, the same basic principles and business sense should apply to running the nation. Especially considering the debt that we need to get out of or lessen. Plus, he won't be running "Wal-Mart" alone...

Both Perot and Herman did much more then run a grocery store though right now my biggest fear is the possibility of a Palin/Trump ticket that would be nothing more than a media circus.
