He was trying to make a joke of it because that is what they believe. All their bases are covered. No matter what happens, it's all Global Warming.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

If you are looking for a global warming conspiracy, look no further than the Heartland Institute. They are the main coordinated effort responsible for spreading global warming skepticism amongst the public. The scientists are in agreement that global warming does exist and is occurring. Even the scientists that are skeptical as to whether it is caused by humans or not do not deny that the earth is in a warming trend . They can't deny it because it is fact. There can still be a debate as to whether GW is caused by humans (although the evidence is overwhelming in favor showing that it IS caused by humans) but there is no debate that the earth is not warming. Please don't confuse the two. http://heartland.org/sigpicComment

it has been for well over 10,000 years, without man's help
what your side has is mathematical models, period, no empirical data showing any causal relationship between CO2 and GW“There is nothing government can give you that it hasn’t taken from you in the first place”

(CNSNews.com) – A study of two proposed EPA regulations seeking to curb power plant emissions shows that the regulations will raise electricity prices and cause a four-to-one job loss ration.
The study, conducted by economic research firm National Economic Research Associates (NERA) and commissioned by the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity (ACCCE), studied the effects of two proposed EPA regulations – the Clean Air Transport rule that would further curb sulfur and nitrogen emissions and the Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) standard that aims to force power plants to install new emissions-control technology.
The study found that if EPA were to impose these new regulations, electricity prices would rise by a nationwide average of 12 percent by 2016 – and reduce employment by 1.4 million by 2020, killing four jobs for every one job created.
The study found that electricity prices would rise from an average of $87 per MWh [megawatt-hour] to $92 in 2035.

but there would be less co2 going into the world, and we all know that co2 kills everything and is dangerous and has no bearing on the life cycles of nearly all living things does it.......The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money. -Alexis de TocquevilleOriginally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

You guys are taking a very simplistic view on things and those who dismiss entire fields of study because of one article are, well, simplistic themselves.
We all see what we want to see.
Shouldn't we try to conserve and manage our resources thoughtfully? Do you guys that believe in complete deregulation truly believe that corporations will act in our best interests? Do you think they will be responsible and not toss pollutants straight into the rivers? Where any of you around to see the east coast waterways before the EPA came to be?
Where do you draw the line with government involvement? FDA, USDA, DOT, FAA? Or is it just the poor you would leave to starve?
I do believe that people should make their own choices but we all have a responsibility to our coming generations. Do you leave the toilet bowl full of shit when it clogs up for your kids to clean up? If so, then you know who you really are and so do the rest of us.... Greased Monkey ...Comment

LOL @ this thread.
I know some of you diehards are so jaded that you'd knock down a few trees just to make a point.
The CO2 thing is stupid I agree but I am certainly thankful for smog reduction and stopping obvious pollution. The Cuyahoga river is famous for once being so polluted that it caught on fire. More than once. Now it is so clean you can fish and swim in it.
Pouring MEK down a drain is certainly cheaper than disposing it properly, companies can't be trusted be responsible. This is what the EPA's job is. Whatever the cost impact is for that company's product and my tax dollars to enforce, I consider it worth it that I can go for a swim without getting liver damage or looking like I jumped into an oil spill.
As far as energy goes, conserving saves money. Everyone wants lower bills. I don't mind the "energy use" stickers but for the most part The EPA has no business meddling here.sigpic
