I don't know how you came up with that from that interview. He's not calling anyone racist. He's comparing the ignorance of racism from his youth to the ignorance of climate Change skeptics. It's a bad example to make his point but as usual I think you blow it out of context.

And yes racism is ignorant questioning AGW is 180" opposite of that. Making the comparison is a back handed way to insult anyone who does not agree with you, for 1, and makes himself look (and the interviewer for that matter) like an even bigger douche bag, and idiot for even going there.
