I can't tell you how much I cringe when I hear this at work; nothing makes you sound more grumpy, intolerant, and narrow minded that a blanket statement like this.

If your over 30 years old, can you honestly say you have seen a change in the climate where you been and don't believe humans don't have SOME degree of influence on this.

No the implication is that since they are under 30, and have been though the ringer of liberal post secondary education they have little real world experience and skepticism and common sense that accompanies it, not to mention the training to not question the findings of other more educated people. Its an implication that they have yet to shed some if any of the blind idealism that is preached in the halls of 99.99999999% of college institutions under the influence of the the federal govt and its agenda.

That said I am a tick over 30, and have spent my entire life working in the real world. And what little college level instruction I have came from a private institution free of govt monies and influence (god knows the feds have tried though).

I'm over 30, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in engineering and minor in physics, so you can say I have an affinity towards science. I paid my way through college working construction jobs and utilizing government loans. No one paid my way unless you include my fellow North Carolinians since it was a public school. I managed a 12 person engineering firm by the time I was 24 hiring and firing people twice my age. I started my own firm 4 years ago and became a part owner in a start-up company with another fellow entrepreneur. We're doing quite well even with the recession. I also have travelled all over the world visiting the arctic a few times and seeing the impact of climate change first hand. Oh yeah and I'm also married, have 2 kids and lived all over the country because I grew up in a military family.

Is that enough "real world" experience for you or did you want to review my Curriculum Vitae as well?

Excuse me, I was clarifying a point and an implication, and there is a reason for that stereotype. I dont really care where you went to school, all but a few have to bow to the will of the federal govt if they want the federal loan/grant kiddies to be able to continue to attend, there by getting the money from that huge section of the student population. Even Harvard compromises its principals to get the 15% of their operating budget that comes from the feds. Where much of family has attended and where I have my course work DOES NOT.

Next Your real world experience good for you, why do you still support all the things you support then??? Oh I will make connect the dots leap here, your bread and butter is climate change right???? SO you are one of the ones that is profiting on it all. Just making these assessments on the information you have let out.

Biologist Charles Monnett, the lead scientist on the paper, was placed on administrative leave July 18. Fellow biologist Jeffrey Gleason, who also contributed to the study, is being questioned, but has not been suspended.

Monnett now manages $50 million in studies as part of his duties as a wildlife biologist with the Interior Department’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement.

Eric Holder’s Justice Department has already declined to pursue any criminal prosecution in the probe, but the scientists still face possible administrative action for any wrongdoing, the inspector general said in the memo.

anyone who thinks the pro AGW scientists are pure in their intent has their head in the sand. there are huge political forces intertwined with the AGW crowd that have absolutely nothing to do with GW and have separate agendas they leverage thru GW "solutions" (think fat fuck al gore and his carbon trading scheme).

anyone who thinks the science is settled is delusional and ignorant.
herbivore and others can espose the pro AGW arguments and science, yet when equally competent atmospheric scientists refute/undermine their stated conclusions, somehow its not relevant/admissable. this is the definition of ignorance, ie to ignore.
next time you guyz accuse the skeptics of ignoring the science, look in the mirror first and practice.
