You should be there for your cousin as a family. The government isn't your mom's titties. If you don't care enough to be there, then your sister will probably die unless someone else does. That's life.
Wow, there must be something neurologically wrong with you to have such a lack of empathy. Oh wait, there is:
People diagnosed as psychopathic have difficulty showing empathy, just like patients who have suffered frontal head injury.
I'm sure there is a government program out there that can help you;)
In the mean time I'll tell my dad he should stop accepting handouts from the government for being a 100% disabled Viet-Nam vet. He really does suck from the government's titties getting free VA health care and retirement pension and free military flights for life, not to mention sending my younger siblings through college on the government's dime. It's kind of ironic he's a Republican given he gets all this for free and doesn't pay any taxes. I'm sure that pisses you off too. BTW, thanks for paying his pension with all the hard work you do. We really appreciate it. Keep it up.
Is this welfare even a federal issue? I thought the states managed things.. The extreme examples you're coming up with would be difficult to get away with in OH.

Your dad put his life on the line for our freedoms, and in doing so was put in harms way and got hurt. I gladly thank him for his service and have no issues at all with my taxes going to foot his medical bills and pension. He has gone above and beyond to deserve these benefits. As do most everyone in the military, they put them selves out there and in harms way of their own free will, to defend me, my family, and all that we all hold dear.
He paid for his benefits with his ability to earn his own way by protecting the rest of us and our ability too do so. He is the only one I can see outta all you examples that deserves the benefits. The military benefits you speak are are far from entitlements.
Please thank him for his service for me.

Well the funny thing about ol Warren is everything he has helped to get passed or advocates he conveniently exempts him self from. He puts much of his taxable income in a charitable trust there by not giving it to the govt anyway. When he helped iron out the details for the mortgage relief program.................the mortgage company he owns opted outta participating in it.
Ol warren is nothing more than another progressive hypocrite, while hes talking a good game about how the rich should be taxed more the legislation that may come of it will be full of even more loop holes and ways around paying them and there by the rich will have to pay even less than they do now.
Warren is a douche bag, working to only deepen the class envy, and further the ambitions of those of the same ilk. If he really thought this way just like BHO, they would just donate all that extra money they dont need to the govt and let the govt keep it. But they dont..............NEITHER of them will PUT THEIR OWN MONEY WHERE THEIR FUCKING MOUTH IS, they want the govt to force it outta them, there by forcing it outta everyone else with the barrel of a gun. Its not up to the govt to decide what assets a person needs or does not need, that is our choice. They dont want put their money out, they want to use everyone else's money
I will say it again when these progressive fucking ass holes start to belly up to the bar and pull out their own personal check books and put their own fortunes up and donate 50% + of their gross earnings over and above what the IRS says they have too, then I may start to put a little more stock into what any of them say. Nothing more than mere Lip service to the progressive agenda until then.
And if he feels he isn't taxed enough then why doesn't he pull out the old check book and write a check for what he feels he should be taxed? Nothing is stopping him from doing that.
Sleeve got it right, he will just continue using loopholes that will enable him to pay low taxes. So why not go with the Ryan plan
"We’re saying keep tax rates where they are right now and get rid of all those loopholes and deductions — which, by the way, are mostly enjoyed by wealthy people — so you can lower tax rates. A simpler, flatter, fair tax code more internationally competitive so we can create jobs: That’s what we’re proposing. This isn’t tax cuts."
