Bush spent what $1.5 Trillion in 8 years and Obama has spent nearly $6 TRillion in 2.5 years? And that doesn't even include the Healthcare Mandate.

I'm not agreeing/liking/defending Bush, he was not a fiscal conservative. But Obama's spending is on a completely new level.

QE1 and QE2, which aren't on that graph, have cost almost 3 trillion. Also, tax cuts aren't spending so the ass hole that made that graph needs to die. Even if you did consider tax cuts as spending then you would have to add that number to Obama's side of the graph because he extended the cuts.

Quantitative easing doesn't come out of the federal budget. Its the Federal Reserve bank "printing" money to buy up existing US Treasury bonds on the open market. It doesn't cost the federal government anything. It reduces the cost of loans to businesses and individuals, reduce the federal debt burden and increase the rare of inflation.

Bush took office in 08 when the debt stood at 5.77Trillion. When he left office and handed the keys over the debt stood at 10.7 trillion most of that piled on at the very end of his term. Still though thats a deficit average of 625b per year


Obama takes over at 10.7trillion and as we stand right now the debts are 14.59trillion. SO the O is spending OUR money at more than double the pace bush did. This is a whole different league of burning money that we dont have, and we still dont know the TRUE costs of much of whaT HC is gonna be.

Absolutely not. Our problems go back well before Bush. Bush was stuck with several potentials for economic collapse as well. Yeah he escalated the problems mostly with the wars but Obama has a huge part to play here.

more perspective on this. The 0 administration increased the national debt more in 4 days than than Eisenhower and Truman combined did in all of the 1950's After being adjusted for inflation of course.

He extended them or the Republicans in congress forced his hand? Last I checked he fought the tax cut extensions every step of the way. See the many threads on the subject here.
