Ron Paul. He's a religious man that doesn't want to shove it down your throat!

Bachmann is a religious extremist. They need to be kept out of office entirely.

"Gay marriage is probably the biggest issue that will impact our state and our nation in the last, at least, thirty years. I am not understating that.”

        But wait, then there's this:

"This really is the number one issue for our country right now, how are we going to deal with this threat of radical Islam.”

        WTF?

I didn't realize it was gay people, or radical Islamists that crashed the economy and took away all the jobs!

She doesn't have any answers, and when politicians don't have answers, they start blaming. Which is about all we get from polticians in general these days. No real answers, just lots of finger pointing.

        Ack.

Some of these guys seem ok but the religious stuff is such a huge turnoff. I feel like it would be like OH on a national level.. the second republicans win some seats there's suddenly 14 anti-abortion bills flying around with some censorship for good measure.

I have no hope in any of these people...or Obama.

Expect for OP, nobody i noticed has mentioned Ron Paul. The little I know about him seems like he is aligned pretty well with what I read here or R3Vs PnR section.

                    - end wars
                    - end the drug war
                    - small govt / fiscally conservative
                    - return to the gold standard for economic stability
                    - audit / remove the fed
                    - not interested in religion in his govt
                    - not interested in govt in reproductive / abortion issues

Seems like he has been steadfast for decades in what he believes and doesnt change with public or political sentiment. Other than his foreign policy, which I know nothing about (OP?), whats wrong with him? Is he just unelectable and a waste of time? srsly perplexed

He is just unelectable. Hes too "far out" for enough people to get behind him, most people think hes just plain crazy. While many of us may want and wish for Ron to stand a shot. He is where many of us would like to place our vote, but sadly it would be a wasted vote and we have to stick with the 2 major parties and throw our flag behind the lesser of the 2 evils.

That's why wanting to elect him as turned into some quasi movement. With enough belief in your vote, he can win.
