The White House issued an executive order on Thursday titled “Establishing a Coordinated Government-wide Initiative to Promote Diversity and Inclusion in the Federal Workforce.” The purpose of the order is “to promote the federal workplace as a model of equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion.” In other words, it would be better for the government if public-spirited white workers sought employment elsewhere. Lost amid all the politically correct box-checking is the principle that the most qualified person should be hired for a job.

Same shit happens here in Australia bidding for a big goverment infrastructure job here, and in the PSTR there is a requirement that 15% of people working on this job need to be unemployeed people and 5% of that 15% need to be of Aboriginal back ground.

So in other words the goverment wants us to employee people to work for us that do not want to work. That makes sense.

A classical bassist acquaintance once turned down a very nice orchestra job he'd been hired for when he discovered that his hiring may have been done to satisfy a minority hiring requirement.

His rationale was simple. "108 guys applied for this gig. 46 got auditions. I need to know I was hired only because I was the best candidate for the position, regardless of skin color, and so do the rest of the musicians in the orchestra." There can be no doubt I was hired because I was the best. The idea of hiring me because I didn't check the "White/Caucasian" box on the application does not do for me, nor any of my colleagues any favors."

I don't see any hiring quotas for minorities in there. Not that I would expect to, seeing as they were deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in 1978.

That wasn't government decree though. The administers of the tests threw out the white people's test scores of their own accord and instead hire minorities in hopes of avoiding a lawsuit by the minorities. This backfired on them and they were sued, rightfully so, by the whites.

Forward and reverse racism are equally bad.
