True as that may be and the reverse I'm sure is the same, I don't think that excuse always applies. Lives where lost. Have you ever watched Hotel Rwanda? That movie makes me shake to this day and I've yet to make it through it. I get incredibly mad, angry, sad, pained, etc.. I don't think anyone should really take a dump on things like that.

I disagree. It was a sad day for man-kind, american or not. Men possessing such hatred and acting upon it, killing roughly 3,000 people is a tragedy for humans world wide. Men are all created equal, and whether you like to believe it or not no man is better than any other. The fact is that 9/11/2001 was an example of evil overtaking men and enabling them to do irreparable harm to others. Yes, Americans were the most directly affected, but that does not mean it isn't a sad day for men as a whole. For people to not show any emotion because they are not american, or don't know anyone who was killed on that day is just a sad display of indifference, and to be indifferent about life and death is a tragedy.

I agree wholeheartedly, but allow me to add a comment without being shot down for it. Death happens, admittedly when it occurs out of hate it receives more attention than accidental loss or loss due to misfortune. Great deals of lives are lost every day, numbers which make the deaths during 9/11 seem almost insignificant if that is even possible. Tens of millions of lives have been lost simply through misfortune since the events of 9/11 yet most of us change the channel when commercials to stop such tragedy pop up on the screen. Yes 9/11 was a tragedy, I would never say otherwise. I just think more people need to do something about preventing loss of life no matter what the cause than to mourn the lives of a mere drop in the ocean of death around the globe. More than a trillion dollars have been spent on wars as a result of 9/11, in essence to avenge the deaths of thousands when that same money could be spent to save the lives of millions and potentially make life possible for billions.

If all you have to say it tell me to GTFO for this or to STFU and that I'm disrespectful save yourself the time, I know the vast majority will think that and I truly do not care if hearing ones opinion offends you. I'm not poking fun at the day, so don't lay into me as such.

Dont bring my country into this please. I have a habit of making jokes too soon and i use humor to deal with things sometimes. like if my dad died and someone made a joke about my dad at his expense i wouldnt have a shit about it id laugh.

and yes i do realise it was a bit tasteless posting it in a rip 9/11 thread, on an aussie board there is a 9/11 discussion thread going on atm. Normally i would tell someone to neck up and just take a joke but i have realised that i should pull my head in on this one as it is the anniversary for you guys.

i havent read all the responses but i am still dissapointed. i didnt say OMG AMERICA DESRVED IT, i honestly do feel for people who have lost family members or friends. I just thought the comical idea of hulk hogan being responsible was worth a chuckle. i didnt think the fact that the towers were blown up was funny..

Look dude we all can take a joke and we all can have nice civil debate on this at any time. Just the 10 year anniversary is a little bit touchy thats all, and a time of remembrance, somber reflection of the events, and to pay our respect to all those lost and affected by them, thats all.
