Fisker tried to make a go of it in Delaware, but there is a severe shortage of skilled blue collar workers in the U.S.. People did not apply in sufficient numbers to staff the type of manufacturing they would be doing. They even offered training for the factory workers, but in the end, they had to go where people were willing to work. The Job Training Partnership Act would have helped in this regard, if it had not been axed in '98.

Funny. They are useing a shuttered gm plant in Delaware, just because of the experienced work force there.

Are these the scissor people? Never looked into that

As to the US tax payer funding them............ yeah do I really need to make my thoughts known??

That's not the only car they're producing. But why are we paying a company to compete with another company in the same market that we bailed out (GM)?

Just keep cutting down the trees to print more money.... Be easier just to pay workers to stay at home. Nobody is buying electric cars for the most part unless you live in tinsel town and need to tout it's so great for the enviroment yet they live in 9k square foot house with all the lights on.

Test drove one today with a friend. Underwhelmed at the "luxury" I would expect from a ~$100,000 car. Looks AMAZING in person though.

Pictures don't do it justice. It's got the footprint of an S Class, but the roofline of a 911.
