Well, nothing will be changed with the majority of Americans sitting around complaining about how fucked we are. I'm really sick and tired of hearing people talk about how doomed we are. Now, I'm not speaking specifically to anyone who has posted in this thread because I've seen examples of this everywhere, especially in the past couple of years and in college. I dont know about anyone else, but I look forward to the future of our country, and I have faith that we can fix the problems we see so clearly. I do not have any expertise in politics, so I apologize for my broad statements. But with my knowledge I've gained studying Environmental Policy, this same idea of
"we're fucked" applies to our relationship with the Earth. I donno, I've been drinking so I'm kind of losing my train of thought. anyways, thats just my opinion.

ahhh fuck it, i usually don't post in the politics section because my thoughts are all over the place. And I try not to speak about things I know nothing about. My senior year English teacher used to say to us: "Sometimes it's better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." (I think its a shakespeare quote) Anyways, I don't usually post because like i said before, I dont know enough about politics to confidently state my opinion.

I doubt that anyone responding has read the actual text of the bill.
Sections 1031 and 1032 exempt US citizens.

That's not to say that the bill has problems, but that's a different animal from indefinite detention of citizens (law abiding or otherwise).

So what he posted is less relevant because it was published on YouTube? Get your head out of your ass. The citation in 1031 saying that U.S. Citizens are exempt from (unlawful) imprisonment without a trial or regard to time is was removed at the behest of the President's Administration AFTER it was approved by the committee that oversee's the wording you so eloquently deny exists.

Kinda hard to argue with a Sitting US senator that heads the committee that approved the version you are reading, says in HIS OWN WORDS, THEY REMOVED those provisions on the version that the FULL Senate passed and went on to the POTUS now isnt it???
