    The Buffet Rule

    no, not that rule
    The following is the real Buffet rule, This is a good read about the pure as the driven snow oracle of omaha Warren Buffet;

    "Wall Street was on fire, and Buffett was running toward the flames. But he was doing so with the expectation that the fire department (that is, the federal government) was right behind him with buckets of bailout money. As he admitted on CNBC at the time, “If I didn’t think the government was going to act, I wouldn’t be doing anything this week.”

    Buffett needed the bailout. In addition to Goldman Sachs, which was not as badly leveraged as some of its competitors, Buffett was heavily invested in several other banks, such as Wells Fargo and U.S. Bancorp, that were also at risk and in need of federal cash"
    “There is nothing government can give you that it hasn’t taken from you in the first place”
    Sir Winston Churchill

          How about a revised rule, if you are re-using a previous plate that rule shall apply.

            I've never heard of anyone returning food at a buffet ever. it never crossed my mind. but i see your point about wasting it, thats why if you want to try something you've never had don't take a heaping plate of it at first, take the smallest amount possible and go from there.

                Yes, it does happen. Would you rather have it happen right in front of you or in the kitchen?

                  I make an effort to at least eat enough to make it not look like I'm throwing away a full portion. Or if it's really shitty, sometimes redistribute the shit food to other people's scrap plates on the table. I just don't like seeing a full serving of something on my plate that will get thrown away. I never return food to the buffet though.

                    I love seafood and recently tried out the "Boston Lobster Feast" buffet in Orlando. The quality of the lobster and crab legs left much to be desired. I do not recommend.

                      If the sneeze shields are in place, do I have to cover my mouth when I sneeze? It's just so hard when I have my hands full.

                        I derailed this thread didnt I lol.

                        But as far as kitchen or in front of me, I just dont like seeing somebody in line put something on their plate then decide they dont want it and put it back with the rest of em. Although touched by the tongs its kinda wrong, I see it as bad buffet etiquette.

                        On another semi related story regarding the behind the kitchen shenannigans. I was in class and this chick tells a story of her friend;

                          Nahh, they have people for that. Remember, you're a job creator. For extra points make sure someone is right behind you. Tell em the doctors don't know what you have. They might name the disease after you.

                              There was a lady that came into Kroger every day with one of those masks on. We called her the swine flu lady.

                              When we saw her, we went to the back and hung out till she left, just like we did when the inbreds came down from the mountains once a month when they got food stamps.

                              Not kidding, can't make this shit up.
