Because not everywhere in the world is like Texas where people get executed for crimes they didn't commit.

This may be controversial but for these sort of reasons I have always been open to capital punishment. Whats the sense in the state paying for this guy surf the web and chat on the phone. Even without those amenities, its seems silly to pay the crazy amounts of money that it costs to house an inmate. In CA the average cost to house an inmate for a year approaches $50k, more than many hard working people make in a year.

I don't know how much coverage it has been around Breivik in the rest of the world but in Scandinavia it's pretty big, reason being that this guy murdered 77 people.

Now the last thing I've read about his trial is that he'll be convicted to psychiatric care.

This is an image over how it's planned that he'll live -

He'll have a separate bedroom from his personal gym and office... he'll have limited access to internet and a telephone (guarded) and be separated from all other convicts.

This trial alone has cost Norway over 14 million dollars.

He'll "live" better and more comfortably than alot of other people in this world, yes with the exception of being truly "free" ... because of the killing 77 people part. I haven't really followed this trial but the fact that he'll have is own "office"... .

Posted this to make sure that you guys know that if you plan to be a mass-murderer, Scandinavia is your place...
