Being he is of the LDS faith, i am not suprised by this. They are iron clad on their ideals dealing with gay issues.

I have a friend who is a member of the church and he speaks pretty openly about it if i have any questions reguarding being LDS (NO, he is not trying to convert me. He knows my very anti organized religion stance).

Oddly enough, it is OK to be gay, as long as you do not act on the "urges" to do "gay things" (like be with a member of the same sex). Strange paradox.......

It becomes immediately clear how much of a selfish asshole you have to be to be against gay marriage when you're forced to tell a gay person to their face that you do not think they're deserving of the same rights as straight couples. Especially when that person is an elderly veteran. I'm surprised he didn't also ask Mitt about his opinions on gays serving in the military.
