No you are right, admittedly. But I'm not throwing my vote away to see Obama get to destroy this country for four more years. So voting the lesser of two evils is the only choice because the masses will continue to vote the two main parties in regardless of the few that would vote for a Gary or Ron.Leave a comment:

And I'm not taking them out of context. Talking down to business owners in that fashion isn' t going to earn you any points.
Yes but it doesn't matter because they don't have a chance in hell. Is this where you tell me I'm wrong for not voting my conscience instead of the lesser of two evils.Leave a comment:

Actually, I'm not in love with any politician. I hate them all pretty much equally, but bullshit it bullshit. You can claim he meant more than he did all you want. I won't argue with you forever on that point.
As I said, it doesn't mean I'm defending his true point. I don't need to. Taking things out of context is stupid no matter the circumstance.
You're not a Republican... I see. A conservative, at least? I'd imagine you're voting for Romney, you seem to have a crush on him and his "experience". Do you have any idea what third party candidates are running?

Oh so you don't know that I'm not a Republican then...lol.
It's clearly you that's missed the point here. Yes of course. He's just talking down to business owners throughout the speech. Then gets to that part and is only referring to the infrastructure. Sounds to me like you've got a crush for the O man. He clearly was not just referring to the infrastructure.
Now would you like to respond to the fact that businesses do in fact build the infrastructure of this country? Which just shows more of his fallacies in that speech. Even up and coming businesses that the city squeezes for city upgrades in their areas. Meaning the individual business has to work even harder to stay in business. As if shit magically appears for the next business owner to open shop. Most business owners are quite aware of just how full of shit Obama is on this issue.

Let's put this in even simpler terms for you.
Let's say you build cars up in your spare time. Consider this quote: "Somebody built the engine, the transmission, etc. You put a car together - you didn't build that."
Apparently this quote is much more confusing than it would seem to most native English speakers. Apparently it means "you built a car? No you didn't"! Apparently in your version of the language, the preceding sentence or sentences have nothing to do with the meaning of any one sentence within that context. I'd better not ask you what you think of sentences that follow... oh boy.
The quote has to do with infrastructure, period. Nobody in their right mind would think Obama is taking the insane position of "you created a business but you did not create it", which makes no sense to anyone of any political ideology. You can disagree with the notion that infrastructure is an important thing for the government to promote at the cost of the taxpayer, but don't pretend to be stupid and act like you think he meant something he didn't. I'm defending the quote because you've taken it out of context to misrepresent it. I don't even need to agree with his true argument in order to call you out for your nonsense.
You party fanboys are really, really annoying. Talk about polluting the discourse. But you're exactly what your respective parties want: a base that is easy to convince, easy to rile up, and almost totally ignorant of the shortcomings of their own party. Democrat vs Republican - which flavor do you want this time?

Oh and there you go playing games with what he actually said again. So he didn't mean what he said then...lol. You have a business , you didn't build that...it was the sentence *before* that one that he was referring to. Well of course it's so clear. I mean what he says is right there but for you, you have to take it apart to make it what he didn't actually say to "make sense of it". But yet the rest of his speech is tearing down the business owner and how it's not his smarts that made his business what it is but his teacher or the infrastructure or government that built the business. Not so much the business owner.
Like I already said, he could have made that a very intelligent and tactfully speech with the same basic ideas but not tearing down the average business owner. But instead he spoke to his retarded base.
By the way. Here in Portland the city charges new businesses in an area for the new roads, sewers, electrical poles, roads etc if it's an expanding area or if they have to update to meet new codes. So Obama can eat shit on that point in more ways than one.
Businesses hire people that pay taxes that pay for infrastructure. Obama is a fool for saying what he said...period.

LOL WUT
Um, guy, he said:
Do you know how the English language works? The word that is clearly referring to infrastructure, not saying a person didn't build their business. What would that even mean?
Come on man, leave political discussions to people who can have serious conversations rather than taking tiny little quotes out of context and spouting naive hopes about one candidate's "experience" being potentially a saving grace for the entire country. You're too easy to convince.

Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business—you didn't build that.

He tried to sweeten it in the sentence before the one you quoted? God damn man, you're right, that is sinister. You people who get worked up about things politicians on one side say are out of your minds. Neither party gives a shit about you. Instead of being a "useful idiot" for one side, see them both for what they are.Leave a comment:

Well how much better does it have to get before you consider it "turned around"? Because if you look at the numbers and metrics we're doing a lot better than the pundits would have you feel.
Well it all boils down to,,, its hard to create jobs when you seek to punish the very people who are responsible for the jobs you wish to create....
I work at a large country club with many small and large buisness owners... The over whelming majority are waiting to hire and invest based on the outcome of this election.... as is the club I work at. Romney winning will spur economic growth soley on his getting elected. Many many people will begin expanding their buisness before he is even in office.
and this is 100% bullshit.
A- because trickle down doesn't work.
B- because we are already trying it anyway, taxes for corps and startups are still quite low compared to past terms.Leave a comment:

Obama supporters; start practicing saying these two words "President Romney" yea go ahead....
See I supported the guy in 2008, but the difference between you and I is that I'm holding him accountable, even by his own standard, cause he(Obama) said himself, "If I don't have this turned around in my first term, it's a one term proposition for me. And he also said, by this time the unemployment would've dropped significantly. He hasnt come to any where close to either, and as a matter of fact it's gotten even much worse, and it goes on and on. He hasn't delivered so he simply has TO GO.
And I WILL as well also hold Romney accountable, if he doesn't deliver or at least put the country on the right course, in terms of fiscal discipline. This bullshit has to stop from both parties.Leave a comment:

He did tell them they didn't built their businesses. Then he tried to sweeten it. It's like telling someone their a murderer then explain they have a sweet side. It was an idiotic thing to say from a guy that has never owned his own business before. There are far better ways to say what he said but he chose to feed his troops instead.Leave a comment:
