Oh there you go again trying to appeal to the forum members (as the weak always do). I have always stuck my views out on the line for criticism. It's too bad your anger and hostility over rides your reasoning in discussing issues.
Even in your economic thread I had to tread softly because you got so riled up when I said things aren't looking that great. We could still end up in a shit hole. All you did was make a far bigger deal than you ever needed to about what I said. And it went on for pages.
I have no reason to answer your question. And I've said why. Don't like it, too fucking bad. Maybe if you stopped twisting my words or attacking my grammar/spelling (as I just caught one of yours). But didn't make a big deal about it because it happens. And I'm a grown up about it. Maybe you can try the same?

The CBO predicts that if the "fiscal cliff" of spending cuts and tax increases goes through, the unemployment rate will jump from the current 7.9% to 9.1% (about 4 million people would loose their jobs). The average middle income family would see Federal taxes go up about $2000/yr when the combination of income, SS, payroll and AMT tax cuts expire. 2 million people would also lose unemployment benefits.

While I'm all for cutting spending and raising revenues, this is not the right way to do it.

Gay Marriage And The Economy: Same-Sex Unions Will Boost Economy By $166 Million, Study Finds

The Williams Institute at UCLA Law reported Monday that wedding spending by same-sex couples in the three newest states to approve gay marriage may generate more than $166 million over the next three years.

The Institute estimates that same-sex couples in Maine will collectively spend $15.5 million, Maryland couples will spend $62.6 million and Washingtonians will spend $88.5 million on weddings.

Economists have followed gay marriage's impact on the wedding industry and local economies since Massachusetts became the first state to legalize same-sex unions in 2004. The Williams Institute found that from May 2004 to September 2008, the Massachusetts economy enjoyed a $111 million boost as a result of gay marriage legalization.

And in July, CNN Money reported that the legalization of gay marriage in New York boosted New York City's economy by $259 million in just one year.

“The same number of people have been getting married every year for the last 20 years,” Carley Roney, co-founder and editor in chief of TheKnot.com, told The Daily Beast. “Gay marriage is literally the only thing that has the potential to change the size of the wedding industry.”

Private individuals spending more to make use of their civil liberties, not some Keynesian stuff. Hopefully we don't walk off the cliff, and let all couples walk down the aisle.

I also heard today that even if we did all the proposed tax hikes and spending cuts, we would only cut the current annual budget deficit by around half, so we're still spending more than we should be.

Seems the majority of people think that if we go off the cliff it'd be Republicans in Congress to blame and most think it's a major negative impact on the economy and their personal financial situation.

AP) - American consumers and businesses will pay much higher taxes next year if a package of tax increases and spending cuts known as the "fiscal cliff" takes effect as scheduled Jan. 1.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says the measures would push the economy into recession and drive the unemployment rate to 9.1 percent next year. The rate is now 7.9 percent.

Sleeve, last I heard, and I could be wrong, but the O wants to keep the Bush tax cuts in place for those under 250k, but expire for those over. So he does want to keep his promise to you, pending cooperation of those in Congress to actually make that happen.
