i don't have one, because i don't answer to any irrational call to arms. i have beliefs i would die for, but the motivators for the US engaging in recent conflicts (since i've been of age to serve) have not checked that list.
i admire for courage for putting your life on the line for whatever reason(s) you deem necessary... but that's all you'll get from me.

Yes that cost 4.5-6.2 billion EACH to replace no including the Air wing and other incidentals. You dont line shit like this up all in one place where something could take out 1/2 the blue water fleet, with ONE Strike. here's a quote from Chuck Hagel that supports the sequester theory-
"That said, he also laid out steps that are already being taken as a result of sequestration.
Hagel said the Navy will gradually stand down four air wings, 80 jets and helicopters, beginning in April."
there are a couple things need referred to by way of explanation-
-each ship normally accomodates a complete air wing. the reporters take on the number of aircraft equates the complement of a single wing, not all 4.
-op has noticed the ships have been there for months. = long term planning to not compromise on sequester avoidance.
too coinicdental for me. and more likely than a FDR-style Pearl Harbor set-up. pure political posturing by our Dear Leader.

Let me pose this question,how long does it take a carrier group and airwing to assemble and make it to the Gulf the long way from Norfolk?
