I was in an AP course in my 10th grade class.

The current educational problem lies in the fact that the government is dumping money into education expecting progression, when that has never been a solution.
My sister grew up with third world education in the Caribbeans until the 10th grade when we moved here. Graduated top of her class, went to IV league, makes 6 figures at the age of 25. This was before the heavy onslaught of standardized testing that we have today as well. There are countless kids who grew up in the 1970's in a rinky dinky classroom with leaky ceilings and asbestos everywhere and just overall what we would consider today an unhealthy environment. Those kids are now your engineers, doctors, etc.
Camden County, New Jersey has an extreme educational funding and consistently year after year produces one of the lowest scores for standardizing testing.
We've reached a point in education where we are preparing our kids not for the future, not for an opportunity in understanding what they'd like to do for the rest of their lives, but for a silly standardized test. If you speak to almost any high school teacher, they'll grief to you the fact at how much they have to stray away from their curriculum in order to teach standardizing testing material. There are much better ways to illustrate educational success in our kids, and standardizing testing is not one of them. It's unfortunate that SAT scores and ACT scores are one of the main factors in post-high school education as well. Sad.

        Sorry for the extreme off-topicness.

My mom is a middle school Science teacher (just think of the rhetoric they are getting encouraged to push in the class room) in Tuscon, I have some insight into this ;) . Also look into the defunct discriminatory history curriculum that TUSD (my moms district) was using not too long ago.......

No its a good dialog that needs to happen especially among us younger guys and those just getting done with their public education......

Can't we all agree that the best thing to do with north korea would be to wipe it off this planet?

I'm almost sure that the good, honest north Koreans would agree that there is no way to get a country that is so far down their own shit to make a turn around for the better by invading the country and only shooting the bad guys, the only solution I think is to pretty much nuke the entire country before they nuke someone else, and then just put a giant dome (watch 'The Simpsons movie') over where north korea used to be to prevent toxic waste from spreading.....

But seriously tho', north korea is like an alien population living in the rest of the worlds backyard

I just heard yesterday about camps like these expanding..

Images have also been taken of Camp 22 which houses about 50,000 people and where prisoners are forced to stone each other to death, women are regularly raped and an estimated 2,000 people die a year.

Men, women and children are forced to work seven days a week as slaves and eat what they can find to battle starvation
The freely available application has been used by human rights activists to reveal the scale of the hidden camps in the secretive state where about 200,000 people are imprisoned.

that's the kind of story that you're gonna want to verify with a second source that isn't the daily mail.

they don't teach about the bonus army either, nor the WH response-

"However, many believed them a threat to national security. On July 28, Washington police began to clear the demonstrators out of the capital. Two men were killed as tear gas and bayonets assailed the Bonus Marchers. Fearing rising disorder, Hoover ordered an army regiment into the city, under the leadership of General Douglas MacArthur. The army, complete with infantry, cavalry, and tanks, rolled into Anacostia Flats forcing the Bonus Army to flee. MacArthur then ordered the shanty settlements burned."

They have to know that if they launch a missile at the US their little shit stain of a country will be wiped off of the map or at the very least the entire government killed off. If the United States wants to justify a country that needs liberating from its oppressive government its NK, but unfortunately for its citizens there is no oil.

If it was all about Oil we would have invaded and annexed Canada long ago, or at least Alberta. Remember Rumsfeld told the press that we have a plan to invade you guys if need be

271566085609734092734560987564: I forgot all about the bonus protesters, I never claimed MacArthur was the a great and morally bound man or one to even be revered, I was just saying they dont teach you shit about history in public schools any longer. If you know anything about history you might see too many similarities to whats going on in real time in your own life ....................
