Republicans also have fallen behind in drawing younger voters. President Barack Obama won the youth vote 67 percent to 30 percent nationally with young voters providing a significant difference in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida, according to an analysis by the Center for Research and Information of Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University.

They’re building enthusiasm around a set of conservative values that are more appealing to younger voters, they say — more inclusive of gays, minorities and women — the bigger tent that the GOP needs to build if it wants to win national elections.

The point is I grew up with republican parents who were strict and taught me the value of hard work and self reliance but also about sacrifice and humility. I voted for Bush Jr. the first time around. I soon began to see that the republican values I grew up with had been perverted into something else. Then with the introduction of the Koch brother's tea party it began to seem like there was no going back. Ronald and George Sr. wouldn't stand a chance of making it through todays primary cycle where everyone tries to suck harder on the tea-baggers bags than everyone else.

And yet the tea party tries to claim Reagan as their own.....while being nothing like him. It sickens me in the same manner that folks try to claim that they're Christians, yet act nothing like Jesus, but that's another story.

These are some young people that are capable of still seeing the good parts of the party and are willing to be pragmatic on social issues. This NEEDS to happen or the party dies along with the old folks. This movement should especially excite those of you who lean libertarian.

If we could get a republican candidate for 2016 who was their own man and didn't sign rediculous pledges to never co-operate, they'd likely get my vote.
