I don't know how much proof you want, the whole world knows that the US has been engaging in diplomatic talks behind the scenes with Iran for almost a year now. Everything that we are seeing unfold before us has been being planned behind the stage between the US and the Iranian gov't and Israel doesn't like it one bit.

Iran is desperately trying to reopen ties with the West. Some extreme rightists within their country have said otherwise, but it's just a plain fact at this point.

Between school and work ive been a little further out of the loop than I would like but why would it matter if they piss the US off?And i believe Israel is upset about these things because of the constant threats of wiping them off the map.

Yeah thats not trying to provoke anything, since they are not invited. Its in international waters, but thats only 12 miles off shore, so thats kinda close with a ship of war (row boat or not) had been sent WAY out of its way to just go cruise around near the country you have been trying to piss off for years.......... Yeah THATS KINDA THE DEFINITION OF SABER RATTLING, as well as making a fool out of ones self while trying to get some semblance of international respect.
Right on brah, Iran's totally gettin' prepared to nuke us!

WTF, are they using for a a blue water fleet the Shah's former private yacht. 3 old fishing boats from deadliest catch, and rubber dingily Or did the hire the whale wars "fleet" ????

Yeah and if they do pull this little excursion off, there is going to be a couple of sea wolf or Virgina class fast attack subs shadowing there every fucking move ready to put them on the bottom with ordinance worth more than Irans entire offending "ship". No one will even be able to walk out on deck with a pistol on their hip with out a boat seeing it and knowing about it.

This is pure saber rattling at its finest trying to provoke an international incident no more no less

This is how I see Iran with this little stunt

Didn't they originally say this ~9 months ago?

And so what if they do? The right wing alarmists live on the naivety of the general public, Iran might get a few missiles off before their entire military and country was in ruins.

Seriously, we're the biggest douches in the world. We could share the responsibility of the title some times.

Perhaps we could do you guys a solid and send a Sub from the Canadian navy out to intercept/sink them...oh wait...

Seriously though, I would say posturing. I imagine you guys already have a pack of SSN Attack subs with the cross hairs on em.
