Where do you see our political system in 15 years?

Based on nothing more than personal opinion and "gut feeling" where do you think our political system will be in 15 years? Still ineffectively limping along like it is today? A drastic swing to the "left" or the "right"? A new political party or hybrid of the two? Libertarians stepping it up? Complete anarchy?

To avoid being called a fantasist or fearmonger I'll keep my opinion to myself for now, just curious what most of you think.

Still inept, still bankrupt, still trying to fine every conceivable way to gain more powe over the average joe citizen while trying to milk every dime from him with out him acctually relizing it. Only we will be bitching about the R's. Because the pendulum has swung too far the other way

Much the same as it is today.

        As it ever has been.

        We need another Eisenhower.

            Or Reagan.

Personally I see things swinging further and further to the left over the next 10 years with a likely reset (NOT collapse, not a doomsday prepper here) that will be quite rough for a lot of Americans that rely on the govt system too much. At that point the public will see these two parties are too inbred and ineffective and will push for a 3rd party, honestly I hope this happens sooner than later so we can get on with it. So yeah, fearmonger or not that's my prediction.

Republicans will fade into obscurity. Country will be polarized between the progressives and libertarians. Progressives absorbing all the moderates, and libertarians becoming the party of the nations youth.

as soon as the last of the baby boomers and the older generations die off, i see a large swing to the left based on social ideals (same sex marriage, legalization of marijuana, and other things of that nature) being put to rest. i see republicans as they are now going more moderate to keep voting base, a new far right party based of tea bangers, and the dems staying like they are mostly pushing for more social systems and bigger gov.

my dream is for a middle class party wanting more social freedoms (legalizations of marriage, drugs, free schooling into college) while staying away from gov. healthcare, and a more police state like it slowly feels like its turning into.

Why do you want more intervention into education and less intervention into healthcare?

                  Just curious.

healthcare wise just look at the UK and their long wait times and i mean we could do it right if we tried but its the US goverment it wont work out.

the school stuff is since so many people use student loans anyways i would rather be taxed a little more for a lifetime of free education, than have to pay individual student loans. also the more people we can educate the smarter our populus should be hopefully.

Agree for the most part but more gov't subsidy and hands in the pot of our education system doesn't seem like a good thing either. Talk about waiting a long time for healthcare, "uhh sir, there is a 7 year wait before you can start your college courses".

good point but we could still use the SAT and high school GPAs to keep everyone from trying to jump in all at once, but also i think high schools should be more of education centers and less of babysitting institutions. i think everyone should have the right to a free education but some people should have the right revoked if they wanna fight teachers, and not really take it for what it is! maybe im just showing how much of a nerd i was in high school and i hated seeing all these people not caring about learning anything.:p
