While I am by no means religious, nor do I think it has a place in government. This initiative does not specify protecting any specific religion, anywhere. Sessions, a man I do not like, even mentioned this in his speech:

They clearly recognized that an individual’s relationship to God is a natural right and precedes the existence of the state, and is not subject to state control.
