Best mobile video camera?

Hey Folks,

I have been wanting to take a video with a digital video camera mounted close to the ground. Surely there are 'kits' out there in lieu of me trying to jerry-rig something over the weekend.

Does anybody has experience/suggestions on this topic? Imagine a morate fast drive through curvy forest roads (like up towards White Pass or towards Mt. Rainier) in the fall...cool hu??

Well there are a couple brands out there that make cameras specifically for that purpose... I know I have the names in one of the 100 or so magazines here in my room... but I can't fucking find it.

But if I recall they were like $500 each. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for for a one time thing?

mmm...thanks for the link Slangbox. I think I would probably end up runing my current camera inside a waterproof case (they are also typically shock resistant), and hanging it from a house-made stand. Now that I think about it, it may make a cool setup!!!
