    Maybe you are thinking about the Euro S5x is close to perfection. Not the US one. So you dont recommend any bottom end work on the US spec S5x?

    yeah you could.. but the s5x heads are close to perfection..

    are there any specs on that motor? how did he get half a liter more out if it? is the M50 that boreable (made a word!) or is it a spacer between the block and head?

    yeep thats it.. its pulled out.. same as mine.

    you cut the hole rear panel in the front,rear and under.. then pull it out and place some metal in the gaps thats made..

    a quit easy job.. and looks awesome.. (almost standard)

    ha ha i know the displacement of the S50/52 i didnt know if the blocks were the same. and ive seen people add a spacer to allow more room for stroke. i was just wondering which he had done.

    I have m52 crank rods and pistons for sale if anybody interested (that would get you 2800cc). All you would need then is S50 / s52 pistons.

    It has to do with bore and stroke. In the US you could get 3.0L M50's and 3.2L M52's. They were called S50's and S52's.
