this is the most epic car ive seen in a long time. How much material was shaved off the top of the pistins?

i'm confused. why is the quarter mile time so slow? not enough tire? too much power? pretty much every other performance-oriented AWD car i know of can pull low 10s with only 600 whores power

Don't be confused. This did 10,3s with ~700hp. Time doesn't get much better without grip. All of the quartermile passes has been driven with now 4 years old nankang ns2 100% normal tires (no semi slicks). I'm guessing with decent grip, it could be doing high 8s to low 9s passes. However I think the drivetrain could say no at that point. :D This is a street car that is been drag raced, not a drag racer driven on street.

It's a really good time when you consider the tires! And the trap speed shows the power :)

                      Really nice!!

bet you'd have fun with at one of those (kilometer?) races nisse goes to all the time. dude lays some serious butthurt on people with something around 700 whores

Do you still use organic disc?

                            Yes.

It may have slipped once with 5th gear. Not 100% sure, but felt like something slipped for a half a second... In that quartermile pull, no slipping at all. One tough clutch :D

Edit. By the way. Use Luk disc that doesn't have springs (e36 328/m3 etc).. I'm 100% sure that disc with springs will slip when the springs hit bottom.

So you added 2 spider gears? Do you have a picture of the inside of the front diff? I would like to see how you made the diff stronger. I will be turboing my ix, I wont be anywhere near your power level, I'm hoping to have 350whp but would like to be able to launch the car without having to worry about the diff blowing up. So if there is anyway you can get a picture of the diff and did you just use two extra spider gears out of another 325ix diff? Thanks man.
