What about clear 40mil lamin-x? you can get it in big sections, and it's clear, so the red will be red.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you have an issue with the paint/lip then I'd say paint it black but if the paint in mint I would leave it. Mainly because your e30 is inspiration to my build. lol

I curbed the shit out of it the first day I bought it, got it repainted for $120; drove down my gravel driveway, and got 50 rock chips on my newly painted splitter. So I may go for black this time.

just plastidip it black dude. Those things get fucked up all the time! all you gotta do is spray more plasti dip on it. Takes less than a can.

120$<7$ can of plasti dip that can be used to respray if necessary.

Plastidip even comes in red...
