BMW Japan has made this short movie about father and son with our e30 being an integral part of the story. It's quite dramatic if you choose to watch the whole 20 minutes of it.

The funny bit was when they showed the car after an "accident", see if you can spot what I mean...

^^ incredible. thank you so much for posting!
I love how the car interior is indigo, just like his dye business

the 'accident' lol - just disassembled the bumper and grille :-)

              Yup

A couple of English mid-1980s yuppies in London. They had the big hair. They had the brains. They had the looks. They made lots of money...

Neat early-model 4 door in the background. Were e30s meant for yuppies or teenage girls with rich papas?

Edit: oops not a movie but whtevr

Watch it! An awesome, highly rated flick!
One of the best I've seen in months
The e30 sightings just add to the enjoyment :D

...or maybe it's because there's an e30 in it that everyone rates it so highly?
                :-?
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

Not sure if this was already posted but Pretty in Pink is a movie where an E30 is driven by the rich love interest. There’s even a make out scene with his E30 in the background with the lights on..pretty cool scene actually.

Funny how so many who were portrayed as being rich drove these E30s in movies :D

In the 80's that's generally how it was. The majority of North American didn't really care about the Euro car scene in the 80's, as it was mostly about North American offerings from the big 3.
The lower e30 models 318i, 325e etc. were generally purchased for teens with rich parents.
Higher end ones (325es, 325is, M3) were for yuppies. Generally those 20-30 somethings who wanted an entry into the Euro car world.

The new Joker movie has an E30 in it briefly. The movie is supposedly set in 1981, and it does give the feel of that era with the cars (lots of square GM/Ford/Chrysler sedans) but I did see a lot of cars that triggered my, um yah, that’s pushing it, response. Regardless, still a good movie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
