    Logo Design help needed

    hey rEv,

I've relocated to the Charlotte, NC area and hooked up with a small commercial waterproofing company. My business partner and I would like to develop a logo image for our company. I know we're all blessed with different talents and as I have the ability to read blue prints, and run a company I lack the ability of media design.
I'd like to employ someone with design software to design something "elementary" in design. We're not looking for traffic stopping WoW!!!!! just something simple, classy, and professional. With response, could (you) include some samples of previous work? By no means do I expect this to be free, but at the same time I don't want $75.00 an hour rates (we've searched professional firms and that's the going rate). Just someone who likes doing this as a hobby and earns side cash kind of thing.

Please contact here, or PM with questions

    Thanks in advance,

I can design you something if you describe what you want.
I'm no graphic designer, but I like messing around in PS and Illustrator.
Here's a logo I made for Indiana State's SAE chapter about 4 years ago (sorry for the crappy pic, I don't have the orig any more, had to take a pic of it on a T-shirt):

A simple tat design I drew for a friend. It's on his chest now:

And here's another logo I drew for a DJ friend:

        2011 Jeep Wrangler

I'm bored. the beef jerky isn't finished smoking on the grill yet. i've got some down time, Describe what your lookin for and if i see your post before this wasting-time feeling flees i'll draw something up for you.

I'm a graphic designer for a sign company. i create logos and recreate logos 9-5, 5 days a week. ...gonna be looking to apply to design/ad firms within the near future once i get more of this web design stuff under my belt.

Kershaw - what type of company you work for again? my boss only charges $80/hour for my time, and i feel incredible under-paid, shit i wish i made half of this LOL

most of our clients are real estate, small biz, or military

agreed. let us have at it like a half-assed competition and you can pick your favorite and donate to the winner if you feel like it.

i do the same thing you do.

however, im also responsible for printing or cutting all signs as well. so i work in flexisign about as much as i do in illustrator or photoshop.

I've been a graphic designer for 15 years and change, and I can tell you that it's a big racket. I get $250 an hour for freelance work and a "firm" rarely takes more than 30 minutes to come up with initial concept designs, and maybe another hour or two for revisions after client input(s). Especially when clients have low expectations, firms skimp on true artistry to make the $$.

All that said, when you need something simple it shouldn't cost an m coupe for the design, but unless you're family it shouldn't be free. (I'm still paying off school loans! Lol)

Spec work is generally a bad idea for all parties involved, but I'm a car nerd and like helping fellow petrol heads. I'll play with what you have for a bit and see what I can come up with for you. If you don't like it, no big deal, if you do you can buy me an inline temp sensor adapter for my m52 swap. :)

Looking for a clean e30 shell for a project.

Ah, ah, ah. That's petty change. As an art director, the major league firm I was working for was charging $500 per hour for creating advertizing campaigns. It requires at least a team of two, and you get to spend a minimum of a week, usually a month...

Logos and coprorate imagery can take from 30 minutes to a month.
The studio's fee was $100 per hour to do the technical work.

If I had seen that post earlier, I would have submitted some ideas for free. But a short brief is needed.
