    MY e30 @ The Dyno M30 AFM Tuned

    Hey guys hit the dyno this past weekend and found out what im putting down. Here are some pics and some vids. Mods are s50 injectors, lukas bmw heatsheild, m30 afm k&n intake, mark d 93octane chip made for bigger injectors, and ie wires.. Enjoy

    Max hp was 148.3 and max Torque was 138 ft lb

    Now i gotta get my cam headers and exhuast.

    those #'s aren't really impressive at all. maybe something is the matter

      Did you dyno before any of the mods?

      Where are all these cams gonna go that you speak of?

        no, no dyno before mods, cam are gonna go into my motor i would like a 272 schrick. A/f curves i have them just didnt take pictures. What should I putting to the floor with these mods?

          Yea, those numberes arent that high. But they arent THAT bad either, Robert. I understand that most people use dynos just to "tune" and the numbers dont mean anything, but i think you should have more than that.

          I dyno'd my car with m30 afm, cam, fuel, and a jim c chip and got 150 at the wheels, and I'm down in LA. It was a bitchin hot day and the car was pingin like a mofo.

          I hope this new e30 will beable to compete with my old one.

              OH ok sorry for the typo but you know what i mean. It was normal miami weather. So maybe i should try another dyno session? Im gonna dissconect the battery for 24 hours. Then turn it on and let it idle for a few minutes so that it gets used to the new duty cycle. ( never did that ) Can you describe to me what pinging is.

                alright good to hear. if you didn't have a/f curves and just went to bench numbers, i would have e-slapped you.

                post those up. kyle, i htink they should be better #'s.

                i had 142rwhp/143rwtq on a hot muggy day with m30 afm, jc chip, and 19lb injectors dumping gas in. and the AFM was mistuned so much. (adjusted and it was much faster in the 1/4)

                you have a more advanced chip, better sized injectors, and hopefully the afm is set right.

                post up the A/F curve. i would hope for a little more power from those mods, and CORRECT ANY OR ALL ISSUES before modding further!

                    Whay are you going with such a small Schrick? Why not do something in the range of 277 to 284? 272 is dam close to a stock EU 268 cam, There is hardly any noticeable differance.

                        284/274 or 282/272 dual pattern, whatever it is.

                          the problem might be you're just throwing mods at the engine, and expecting it to increase performance. our computers don't really adjust that much at all.

                          especially the air filter / heatshield thing. might have to adjust the afm tuning to help a little, or something. but tuning is likely needed i think

                            So for tuning im trying to get the car to run @ stoich as much as possible through the rev band?
