If I didn't have an e30 I would have a 190. I really like styling and they are almost as common as e30s so finding parts wouldn't be that difficult.

I could go either way. The M3 is an all-around sportier car and a bit more flashy. The 190 has a great juxtaposition between it's performance specs and it's understated, typical benz styling. My parents had a 190e and a 420sel when I was a kid and 80's era MB build quality is really something to behold.

my first car was an 84 190e. I loved my baby benz, partly that first car love and partly it was also just an all around great first car. semi easy to maintain and fun yet comfortable drive. Now.... my second car is an E30 i got m50 swapped but is now getting an s52. Obviously ill take the E30 any day over my 190 BUT they are both 2 great 80's german built cars.

One can't appreciate the E30 until they have driven the M10 car.

Tis true, I drove my old 84 m10 for about 2 months and was surprised at how responsive the little motor was. 3rd gear pulls, at the freeway entrances, all the way to 6500 rpms, very fun.
