        this guy started his motor with it sitting on the ground when some r3vers can't even do it while the motor is still in their car.

        but mid engine to drag though...seems like a waste.

                On the mid-engine to drag comment - considering the way it skips sideways on the first quarter run in the video, not sure it's set up well enough to track!

                I personally think a front-mid layout would suit the e30 better.

                  I agree. It looked to light in the front end. Seems to be a hand full keeping it in a strait line.

                          That thing rips. As for why mid engine just for drag, think about it. More weight over the rear tires = less spin. It's almost ideal. If you've ever driven a Porsche you'll understand. Primitive rear engine cars(no driving nannies) are solid in a straight line, however on a road course you have to drive them at 85% to continue living.

                              Seems like a lot of work for marginal gains in drag racing. Wide, sticky tires would do a much better job at a fraction of the cost and effort. Maybe he's got a weird fetish for snap oversteer?
