limited experience? I'm not sure if thats ment for me, but I have driven several times every car that I brought up, and worked on several of them.

I'm not closeminded, I just cannot enjoy a newer bmw, and if I had the money it would be a Porsche, because thats more my style then a dime a dozen E46/E36.

Every E46 driver I have met who dislikes E30's, hates them because they are old boxes and don't offer all the comfort/features that the newer ones do.

Sure its taste, but loving the old ones and not liking the new ones is not being narrowminded.

And E36's? Pretty much no interest in them at all. I'd pretty much only be interested in the E30's

Yeah, bimmerfest reflects the Bimmerforums community a lot. Many teens/young adults in E36s that all look alike, maybe angel eyes and idiots behind the wheel, and a lot of black wheels / turboes or superchargers. So what? Not like we're any different.

A lot of people talk about the fun and performance aspects of an E30 and how they care so much about it being lighter than newer cars, yet few here do much with them besides take pictures of them in parking garages...

90% of this board would be in denial if they said they didn't have an E30 as a daily driver because money was an issue.

And retards on e30tech... most of them would be just as happy in a Fox-body Mustang. About as high-tech suspension, as much torque as their turbo m20, and just as boxy.

As much as I have said that the E30 M3 is the real M3, and the E36 was for the marketing and sales... it simply has a more powerful and reliable engine, as well as better rear suspension, better brakes, and I think its one of the sexiest BMWs to date.

If you don't like bling-blingy car shows, DON'T GO TO THEM! Spend a weekend doing an Auto-X if you want to meet car ethusiants or see real cars in action. But don't bitch about how boring it is to see shiny new cars or retarded custom speaker and TV installs, dubs, whatever. Yes, society is dumb and supports retarded shit but when you go to a show, that's what you'll get!

I can see that happening. Not too many are truly local to me. So, when they come here, its usually because they want something badly enough to get it. In one instance - in the ice and snow, i was the one standing around while the guy who came here did all the work - in my driveway!
