    E46 m3 exhaust on a e30

I know its a bad idea and I would have to cut the spare wheel well out. Regardless could someone pshop the quad exhaust on so you can see the bottom of the can hanging out?

Its been done years ago already. Personally I think it didnt look good at all.

    I got no pics though.

wouldn't it be easier to just run a pipe to the other side of the car and from the back of the muffler and put a tip on it, e21 323i style? Either way, you aren't going to get any more performance about it.

That would be easier but I'd like to see how the e46 exhaust would look. I would probably loose performance anyways I have a FlowMaster right now

that above car its in our shop. i can take some pics for anyone that want it.

Just so u know, i had to reinstall the exhaust after doing a transmission job on it.
it took me over 4 hours just reinstall the exhaust.
Its REALLY REALLY HEAVY! when i say heavy something like over l120lbs for the exhaust.

BTW 02stu, what kind of wheels do u have on ur car?

It look spretty good. But it seems to me after looking at the exhaust on my m3, that it would be easier to fab something else up that looks the same, but uses a different muffler.

Wow, definitely do not want to add that kind of weight. I thought that might be the case though, I have heard that the baffling in the exhaust is very complex.

they are Spal wheels that I bought from mr 325. They have been passed around a lot, I think I am the fourth person on the board to run them.

why go through all the trouble, when a single 2.5-3" exhaust is much lighter, cheaper and flows just fine? unless you are planning on swapping in an S54...

The M3 muffler only looks good on that car above because it has a MtechII rear bumper cover to hide it .

It would look like total ass hanging exposed down below a regular metal valance .

lol, that's probly true. I really wouldn't want to cut up an Mtech valence just for that exhast, though.

quad exhaust gives me a boner. i see myself owning an e30 with 4 pipes out the rear, i probably will not use a e46 exhaust for all the said reasons. My red car might even be the lucky one sometime when i am feeling frisky.
