The bumpers are hate it or sorta like it, nobody loves them, but they serve a purpose, and they are staying no matter what the haters say (unless the hater is a cop) ;)
It's a big butt, but I love my baby's ass

what purpose? I think BMW intends for the bumpers to stay on the car for a purpose. you do understand this changes the wieght distrubution right? and you still didnt answer my question to these swap parts you get for cheap.
i could carless if you have an m3 it really means nothing to me. I would take a clean e30 over an m3 any day.

If you remove the same amount of weight from the front AND rear of the car, you haven't changed the distribution. If anything removing the weight from the extremities of the car is the best kind of weight reduction you can do, other than the sunroof (on the list when the cage goes in) The bumpers serve the purpose of keeping the car road legal to drive to the track/event.
I'll do you one better, you like euro s50?
Go browse bimmerforums FS section, s50/2 prices have dropped in the last year or so.
Regarding the 325 vs. M3 argument, I'd say you are part of a VERY small group on that one.

its not only for road legal but for a safty purpose too.
that group isnt that small. alot of people that i know feel the same way. and for your wieght distrubution i think your passenger side you should stack some wieghts on it. you are over compensating too much.

You're ridiculous. It's obvious you were dropped on your head as a child or something. I'm done with you.

Yeah I guess you being droped on your head knocked the commen sensence out of you and thats what possed you to remove your bumpers and put the ugly metal piece in place.

My car is so low (and most e30's with any kind of suspension work) that if I was to get hit, the HOOD would hit the bumper of the other car. Look at accident pictures, or hell just pay attention when you pull up behind another car. Not even to mention those bumpers are only rated for a 2.5 mph impact. If you hit someone going that slow you should be shot.
My drivers seat is significantlly lighter than the passengers seat. Not to mention the battery is in the passenger side. I also have removed the HUGE factory muffler that comes on the drivers side and replaced it with a very light weight setup. Whatever weight difference is left can be EASILY adjusted out using my coilovers if I actually cared enough. Not to even mention that 95% of the time im driving I have a passenger. I'd even argue that removing that amount of weight even if it was lopsided would still improve the overall performance of the car.
Oh and the side mouldings weigh 4oz per side and they leave a VERY ugly line and holes in the doors when removed, yes worse than my bumpers. So they stay.
Anyone who says they'd rather have a 325 rather than a M3 is not a real BMW enthusiast and has no idea of the heritage and racing career the m3's went through. End of story.

Alittle pissy are we. i could really careless about 80hp considering I am building a gt35r turbo setup for my car. Us spec motors have more tuner availability then euro and do you know how expensive it is to replace parts on that motor in the us? and yes im the lazy one who cant get my fat ass to the gym. Look in the mirror.
Not liking one car that they made doesnt makes me not an enthusiast. Yes i know the e30 m3 was one the best sports cars made from that time period. Sher i like them for the history and what they did with the car but i just dont care for it.
