Took your advice and looked at his car. Don't get me wrong, cirrus is a great color, just not all the time. I have a very small itch to see what the car would look like with a little more blue in it.

Once again thanks for taking the time. I don't know if its closer, because in the end both pictures are affected by what type of lighting it would seem yet;I'm really liking what direction this could be heading. But the problem is that I'm going to be using Valspar because I get a really good deal for paint and clear through my college. So color matching might be totally screwed by the time I get to the final step.

If you are looking for a darker blue that still keeps the softer hue, check out arctic blue. My first e30 was arctic blue, but it was an eta. Though I've never seen it done, I think it would look good on a plastic bumper e30. I personally love the cirrus blue though.
Dropped 2 door cirrus blue on 17" Alpina wheels with smoked lenses = :pimp:Comment

A quick search turned up this thread about arctic blue. (It's a metallic finish by the way)
I don't have any pics of mine because a stupid bitch in a Chevy Tahoe ran a stop sign and totaled it. It now sits in the corner of my warehouse under an inch of dust. :(Comment
