i'm interested to try extreme variables and see what happens... but each image takes roughly 6 minutes to calculate and teh first couple are in some sort of acceleration stage. This is on a P4 at 3.2GHz.

This is the Mazda Speed 3 doing roughly 400 mph

^^These are, and you have to have Borbet C's for these images to apply.

if you guys want to play with the software, i can host the file (i dont know if the site of origin is still up) and slap together a quick tutorial to eliminate the learning curve

Can you determine how much weight is put on the rear of the E30 M3?

i've learned that this software sucks and that there's too much math involved. I know what the variables are and what they should be, but the results dont appear to reflect what i thought would provide.
at 800x600 resolution, maybe its not detailed enough?

TDE30, there is a calculation for forces but for some reason the outputs state "disabled" which kinda ticks me off.

I'll post the program up tomorrow and build the tutorial. I'd like to see what you guys can come up with

oh well what do you know!! i found it. AND they've updated the software

Should be asleep because I've got work in the morning, but for whatever reason I downloaded the programs provided by that site and I'm tinkering with odd shapes at different speeds.

                    Thanks Will.

the white e30 pictured, i used that in paintshop. because the programs x-y coords start in bottom left and images are from top left, you must flip the image up-side-down. Be sure it points to the left.

then open a notepad and have the paint program in the background so you can hold the mouse over exterior outline points. then you type them into the keyboard. its really easy.

here is my e30 file. copy and paste into notepad and save with extention of shp

and dont worry about the number values. the program scales the shape to what it wants. then you modify shape and increase zoom.

you know. the program is somewhat useful... like i can tell you trent and gustave's hood vent may actually be of use. or rather it has been placed in the proper location. if you look at the images, there is a low pressure at the first half of the hood. the back half is high pressure and would be a bad place for an exhaust vent, though a good place for soobie-style intercooler/intake scoop.

Some of you guys are funny.
