Dude, it's a corolla. It's like a Japanese version of the Ford Escort or Chevy Citation - just drive it until the body starts to biodegrade 5 years from now, then sell it to a college girl for $800.

I'd just slam it on good suspension to try and make it semi fun to drive. And leave it at that.

It's going to run for 30 more years no matter what.

all mods are gonna look like ass dude. its a fucking toyota corrola? What the fuck? I have a honda civic 2001 that is my all season driver and reliable-til-death car but you don't see me slamming it cuz that would look retarded and people would be like "WOW, buy a nice car to mod, dumbass ricy's" and then prolly proceed to key it. For two grand you can get a good solid e30 and you don't look like a vagina modding it out....or while driving it.
Does your friends car also have a period? cuz i see plenty of vagina in it.

Wrong, If that car lasts 10 years, it's a miracle, we live in the age of throwaway cars now.

No.... The japs are killing it. There cars are great and reliable and cost next to nothing to fix... Honda's and Toyotas look like shit, but they'd be my first choice to take on a long journey due to great engineering, common tech knowledge among mechanics, and cheap as hell parts (not to mention MPG fuckers). I expect my 2001 honda civic to at least last well into 2020 or so.

That's soo fynny, you think your car will last 19 years, and that is something special. It's not, if it made it 45 years, that would be something, but it will not.

Dude, for serious, the fact of the matter is quality of components/build quality of Toyota had deminished. Cheaper parts bids puts lower quality parts on your car.

Really, also, I can't count how many engines I had to see replaced on 2001-2005 Civics. And transmissions. Those cars are not long lasters.
