        right, because the money comes out of nowhere to pay the programmers, design leads, quality assurance testers, customer support, etc for an operating system or other software

        And the kids taking your ticket at the movie theatre are going to be really enthusiastic to have pay cuts because the movie theatre can't afford to pay them very much because they're giving you a bargain deal on your ticket

        As far as cd's go, the price is fine, but the artists should get an equal amount of money as the producer.

        And for dvd's, do you have any idea how long it takes to make a dvd? special features, cutting, editing of footage, special features polishes, etc.

        How do you expect people to stay employed if you charge dirt for quality material?

        the only one on your list i can agree with is movie actors, they get paid way too much.

                        FreeBSD is an operating system used to power modern servers, desktops, and embedded platforms.

                        FreeBSD - Free. 5.3 Release is awesome and will run on just about anything.

                        GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program: The Free and Open Source Image Editor

                        Gimp - Free. Is just as feature rich as PS and doesn't cost a cent.

                        Im not a "gay-hippie-liberal doosh" or a "redneck conservative" (Ref: South Park - Goo Back Episode). Just a middle of the road guy trying to expand peoples minds to the beauty that is BSD.

                        * If you don't want to pay MS $200 for an operating system, don't.
                        * If you don't want to pay Adobe $300 for an image editing software, don't.
                        * Correct me if Im wrong, but theatres mostly make money on their concessions... ticket sales go primarily to the box office that releases the movie.
                        * I don't buy CDs
                        * The DVDs I buy are usually more expensive than $20 (no its not porn)
                        * Actors and actresses get paid way to much. I agree 100%. The only thing that gives me solice is that Bill Gates (a nerd) could spend several hundred thousands of dollars a day from now until he is 85 and would still have more money than the 3 wealthiest actors in hollywood put together.

                                Actually , it wont. If you do remove the CMOS battery then every time you boot your computer it will not have retained any of the BIOS (Basic Input/Output settings and you will have to define all of the settings in the BIOS all over again. This will happen every time you reboot.
