      i have a friend with a 84 318 with a 5lug conversion everything gone on the inside i mean everything accept drivers seat. and he weighted at a truck stop at 2250 (when my race car weighed in at 2650 which is a bit heavy im normally around 2610-2620) he is about 250 so that puts him real close to that 2000 lbs car you were hoping for with out going lex or cf body

        Ive gutted almost everything i can.
        im finishing up my rear lexan windows and removing the sunroof casset and replacing the pannel with lexan also...
        Im planing on getting the car weighed in 2 weeks!!
        hope i can get close to 2,200lbs.

          This is the interior of my 2100lbs E30


          The trank is completelly empty with only a 15lbs battery.
          The engine bay hosts a M20 engine and a strut tower bar.
          The wheels are lightweight 15x7.5

          I am pretty sure that with a 4cyl engine and no cage the car would weight a little lower than 2000lbs so you get the idea of what must be done to get to 2000lbs with no fiberglass parts :)

            ^dude, where is the rest of your cage?! The angle of the shoulder belts can't be within spec.
