My buddy who wrecked his 325e last year is trying to unload his parts on me since I have an E30 now. He has a 3.73 LSD diff with about 50,000 miles on it, but he says that the sensor (is it the wheel speed sensor?) is broken and needs to be replaced on it. Secondly he has an E36 steering rack with a leaking seal (i think) with the OEM rebuild kit included. He wants $200 for everything. Is that a fair price? Anything I should be on the lookout for with the diff or rack?

is $200 a good price for a 3.73 LSD Diff (50k) and E36 rack w/ rebuild kit?

And yes this is a really good deal, the diff alone can fetch that, the 325e came with a 2.93 open for the stock diff. Did he swap diffs or something?
its somewhat performance related, i guess? he was going to swap diffs but never got around to doing it.
i got my answer, so mods, feel free to close topic

Yeah, you can get an e36 rack for $60 or so. The diff is worth $150+, but with 50k miles I'd be skeptical. Who pulls a 50k mile diff, and why? There aren't that many 50k mile e30's out there. And why is the sensor broke/bad at 50k?
I would only take it if you feel like doing a project (e36 rack) and find the diff to be in great condition (inspect internals, breakaway torque, seals, etc...). It's not the deal of the century IMO.
You could have and still can find prices by searching the Parts For Sale forum.
