    Weight

I'm trying to get an idea of how much your cars weigh and what you have removed. If you've weighed your car and can list what you've removed/added, that's be great. Thanks

Exactly 2500lbs with half a tank of gas 84 318i with m30b35 swap...full interior (although not stock seats/steering wheel). 325i front/rear suspension/brakes (drum to disk conversion basically).

Removed spare tire, jack, and ac compressor not installed. Still has stereo, and everything else. This is an early 84 with manual everything other than mirrors, did not come with any
    trunk tar.

My previous Spec E30 (87 325is) weighed 2640 with 150lb driver and a full tank of gas. AC, PS, interior (except dash), sunroof, tar, removed. Sparco race seats and a full cage installed. I haven't yet weighed the new car, but I'll guess on it being close to that. Its cage is more extensive, but it doesn't have a passenger seat or driver/pass windows.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

2,482 full tank of gas. fully stripped, but some sound deadening in the cabin. s52 5-lug 17x8 235/40-17 r-comps. no cage. no body modifications. not much room for improvement short of CF body parts. sunroof gone.

s52, 5-lug and bigger rims and tires take a big weight toll.
                      No more e30s for me.

Where are you loosing over 100lbs over my car?
Heavier engine, heavier wheels, heavier brakes, heavier tires, e36 rear suspension and fire sysyem.
and mine was weighed with no gas in it...hmmm, I am sure plastic hood, trunk and lexan would not save that much weight
I may need to re weigh mine it may be a lot lighter than I think.....truck stop scales may not be the best place to weigh?

                            Windshield is glass.
E46 rear suspension setup likely saved a few pounds despite the e36 diff weighing more.
Eliminating stock doors is a great place to save a bunch of weight.
Several cut-off wheel discs and sawzall blades went into getting it lighter... there's a lot of unnecessary items & sheet metal that can be removed to get the weight down if one gets serious about it. Best of all, those cut-off wheel discs and sawzall blades weren't nearly as expensive as the composite panels that all too often get all the credit. ;)

My "new" e30 will be a bit heavier, but I'm hoping the additional stuff won't make it too much of a pig to remain competitive.

Beginning of last year I was at 2228. I'm hoping to drop a little more with the LS swap. :-)
