Unless I'm reverting back to stock injectors, I've got to run DSP. And also then I'll keep and use the 4.10 LSD I got. And since I have heard contradicting opinions about where an E30 belongs, DSP seems just as good as STX for me to grow up in.

The only downside is that there is no local DSP competition or even participation.

Yeah, looking at the 2004 year end results, there were only 6 entries in DSP all year. Also, the most anyone of them ran was twice.
oh well. Whether there is going to be anyone in my class or not, I'll still get practice and experience, and I'll still know people out there, even if in other classes. And I'll hopefully make it up to South Bend a couple times and run with the Windy City BMWCCA folks. And down the road, it might cost more to run DSP, I might enjoy my car more with toys that are DSP legal. Like 4.10 and MAF.

      Man, I'm moving to indiana.

I'd love to actually pick up a trophy every now and then. the OVR region has a whole bunch of national level guys, 2-3 in STX, and then some jackass in a purple POS e30 that kills everyone in DSP. ;)

I should be #1 in local DSP, by default:
Homer: Default? Woohoo! The two sweetest words in the English language!

Shit, this reminds me of being the fat kid on the swim team winning blue ribbons because no one swam against me......

edit: Garrick Forkenbrock has the MAF?? sponsored by ProFlowDesign.com?

yeah......Indianapolis Region SCCA had 7 participants last year. Some events 1 or 2, some none.

This is not legal as the differential must be standard equipment. There was never a E30 325i or 325is that came standard with a 3.91 and/or a viscous diff. Only the IX came that way and since there is no update/backdate in the Street Touring classes you are SOL.

Fucking hell, go learn to drive it first. It's already going to make you look like shit, trust me. Guys in stock Kia's will be placing higher.

That's what I'm going to do. Just something recently set my ADD off and I've been curious about classes and shit. Maybe it's the locals anticipating the upcoming season or something. But I'm not trying to mod the hell out of my car before starting, but just happened to add some toys while doing some work.

But in case I don't buy a DD this summer, and have $ for the bmw, I know what exactly I can do to it now my curiousity has been answered.

Keep your money in your pocket, or attend more events with the cash. You'll gain a lot more than any legal mods.

Apparantly you don't know how my pants work. Money burns a hole in my pockets and so I can't hold on to it. Maybe I can develop a technology to allow me to save my money......like a saving account.....

Then take Chris' style and just keep tracking and auto-xing with the spare cash. MUCH more fun than just throwing mods at your car.
