Getting close to the start of the season- what do you have left to do?
-put pistons into engine
-put engine into car
-put wires to engine
and then find someway of stopping it...
nah ill just downshift to bring it to a hault
Its been over 2 years since I have ran my car in competition, and besides that I havent driven it much at all anyway since then. I'm not quite ready for an event and neither is my car, but I want to get going again. If I push things I may be able to make a April 11 autocross in Indy.
Besides a jump-start, my to do list includes:
I have a fuel leak in a rubber line that leads to the FPR. Replacing this weekend.
My Corbeau seat bracket bearings have fallen apart (again) Starting to think its my fat ass that is causing it to fail. Then again, they have sent me new bearings twice before saying it was an issue for customers and they had "a few defective batches". Need to contact them and get some new ones sent. If anything is going to keep me from running on the 11th, its this.
Re-secure my battery, not sure why I had it off to begin with.
Replace various missing fuses that were "donated" to my wifes car.
My shift knob pops off, glue it down?
Lose 20 pounds.
If I get all this done I will feel well enough to get back into the game on the 11th. Im not sure if I want to run on street or slicks for the first time back? Maybe a compromise-Treaded RA1's.
