Looks to me like those two 2nd gear corners might have been better staying in 3rd using the German torq's and focusing on carrying speed.. Something to try next time.
Thanks, the track is a blast, I love the blind corners and rises. I've tried 3rd gear on those 2nd gear corners, but my car has nothing down low. I don't have data, so I don't know that 2nd is actually faster, but I seem to loose more ground on the cars with torque if I leave it in 3rd. However, it never hurts to focus on carrying speed...

From a couple weeks ago. Oregon Raceway Park (Can you say elevation change?), Porsche club, instructor group, with another instructor in the car holding a tiny Go Pro camera. E30 M50 with M3 cams and AST suspension.

View from my in car camera:

    View from the Go Pro:

If you set both to 480p and use the youtube pop out option, you can stack both views on your screen. After downloading both, if you start the in-car view and then very quickly start the Go Pro view you can sync the videos and watch them simultaneously. I click on the in car screen and hit space bar, then quickly click on the Go Pro screen and hit space bar and the videos pretty much sync up. It may take a couple of tries.

This would have been a decent 1.5 laps if I hadn't completely blown turn 1 (at about 1:50) by talking to my passenger and missing my turn in point.

    Enjoy,

    Kurt

It's a circle track where we use the infield to make things more interesting / more slow (so that the insurance will cover it).

There's a few events a year (probably 4), and then I do ice racing in the winter, and a few autoX / driving schools to fill in the down time.

    Very nice..
We've got some guys who've been trying to put together rally-x here for YEARS! You would think w. all the desert around here it would be easy.
I have 5 local AZ friends who run CRS (Cali Rally Series) so I've always wanted to do some rallying!
How often do you guys get to rally-x? Looks like permanent site?
